Porto Serralves Museum and Park Entrance Ticket

Journey through the recent art history of the world with an entrance ticket to the amazing Porto’s Serralves Museum, set in the amazing landscaped park of the Parque e Jardim da Fundação Serralves.

The Serralves Museum is the foremost museum for contemporary art in Portugal, with a total collection of over 4,300 works. More than 1,700 are directly owned by Serralves, with a further 2,600 from private and public collection on deposit. These include great works from the Collection of the Portuguese Secretariat of State for Culture, and the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) Collection.

In 1991, the award-winning architect, Álvaro Siza Vieira was commissioned to design a new museum on the grounds of the Serralves in Serralves Park (Porto). The museum building is in direct dialogue with the Serralves Villa and surrounding beautiful gardens. If you opt for the museum and park option, you can access 14 exhibition galleries on 3 floors, and enjoy the fluid disposition of the spaces as the museum offers you multiple itineraries and many points of view.

You can see a unique example of Art Deco architecture built in the 1930s. With great decorative rigor and quality materials, the Serralves Villa benefited from the intervention of other leading figures, such as the Marques da Silva, Charles Siclis, Jacques Émile Ruhlmann, René Lalique, and Edgar Brandt. Get an in-depth understanding of the history of the villa, which belonged to Count Carlos Alberto Cabral.
